Contests Open to the Public

Pie Contest--Entries must be entered between 12:00 PM Wednesday and 2:00 PM Thursday.  Pies must be covered with clear plastic wrap.  The winner will be announced Thursday evening at the Coronation.  Pies will be auctioned off after the winner is announced.  All proceeds go to help support the Royalty activities throughout the year.

               TWO DIVISIONS:  Adult and youth under 18 years of age.

Hay King--Open to anyone raising hay in the Upper Valley.  Entries will be accepted from 4:00 PM  until 8:00 PM on the last Saturday in July. Winner will be crowned West Valley Hay King on Thursday evening.

                Class A:  Alfalfa Hay

                Lot # 1.  Two bales alfalfa hay

                         2.   One large bale

                         3.   One large 4 x 4 x 8 bale

                         4.   One bag cubed alfalfa

Tractor Driving Contest-- Open to any FFA member or adult over 21 years of age.   The contest  will feature operating proficiency and tractor safety, while demonstrating tractor driving skills.

                Class A:  FFA members

                Class B:  Adult men (over 21 )

                Class C:  Adult women (over 21)

Livestock Judging Contest--Open to 4-H, FFA, and Adults.

               Contest will be held at 9:00 AM Thursday

                Contestants will be able to walk around the stock

                Concurrent contests will be held for 4-H, FFA, and Adults
